So guys, Here's the rundown of my engine parts list.
OEM 460 crank ground .010
stock 429 6.605 rods ground for strength
Diamond 25cc dish pistons
Lunati bracket master II cam and lifters
Harland Sharp roller rockers 1.73 ratio
Manley race master 2.19/1.76 valves
OEM D0VE-C heads with home port job
Ford Racing high volume oil pump
Ford Racing double roller timing chain
Weiand stealth intake manifold
Holley 4160 series 750cfm carburetor
Summit Racing street & strip distributor
Flow Kooler high volume water pump

Well I'll be punching it out .030 so it will be a 466. Looking at 550hp/650ft-lbs.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow. But pistons 1-6 are in, making me feel all giddy inside. It feels like just yesterday I was pulling the engine out of it and thinking "I can't wait until I can start putting it together". I kind of want to take some pictures of the pistons in different spots in its stroke and turn it in to an animated gif. That would be cool.

By the way, I was at Milan with my machinist Joe at Champion Performance and I almost met the owner of Diamond pistons. That would have been cool to meet the guy who makes the parts that are in your engine. It sounds like KB pistons are owned by Diamond Pistons also. Interesting being that I was going to get one or the other anyways.

Yep, forged 25cc dish. I'm a little bit peeved that the compression will end up in the high 8 to low 9 range. Before we got pistons we had the chambers cc'd and they were 80.4 with the new valves but since then the casting bumps have been cleaned off. So I don't know the exact cc anymore.

I wanted to at least have 10:1 because I know you can with these, then I figured 9.5:1 would allow me to turn up the timing a bit. But come on! I hate low compression. Mad At least I will be able to run unleaded without any worries.

Maybe you can mill the heads (and intake) down to bring the compression back up to where you want it?

Heads were milled already when it was cc'ed, I don't think they will be taken down more Crying or Very sad I will ask about it. I know there is a calculator to figure it out. Its at the bottom.

Cost $80 for "mill heads up to .020" at the machine shop I deal with. to use the calculator I first need to know the current chamber volume though. Mad

I could figure it out, I just need to look in a book and see how much material per cc to takeoff, plus the chamber will have to be re cc'd which takes nothing to do but I don't have the stuff. I'll ask tomorrow since I'm calling the one guy anyways, the guys are good at what they do. If you need work done I highly suggest champion-performance.com. They have Ford experts there because of course, I know your a ford guy too. They are anal about making engines the right way, and keeping it running for a long time.

Oh, and I don't know how much I can take away without messing up the piston to valve clearance. I'm not worried about the pushrods getting mess up because I'm getting custom one's anyways.

Well the heads are back with the valves and comp cams springs. They are double springs plus a damper. That's the goooood stuff!

I have a c6 that was already rebuilt before I got it. But I want to have it looked at before I put it in because I don't want to have to pull it back out. But I pulled the pan off and it looks brand new and super clean. I might just drop it in though, we'll see.
